Grounded for sewing...

It's been crazy! Just like everyone else, I'm running a hundred miles an hour trying to get everything done. I decided I had to ground myself from sewing so I could clean house and do laundry. Yep, I did it. I got the house clean, laundry caught up, grocery shopping done, bedding changed, pack night attended and errands run. Yippe! That was earlier this week, so now I can report that I have made 2 other quilts. Very Merry, my latest creation is going to be quilted this week and ready to be posted right after. I did it in two different fabric lines, Kate Spain's, "12 days of Christmas" and Henry Glass line, "Home for the Holidays" I love them both. I will also be posting "Pumpkin Spice" my new fall one as soon as I get it back from the quilters.
Now I'm designing a Thanksgiving Skinnies. I hope to unveil them at the July Quilt Guild Fair in Provo on July 21st. Hope to see ya'll there. Until next time, happy and sewing (in a clean house)

Rough and Tumble, for the boys

For those wonderful little boys in our lives! After making Happily Ever After, I got a lot of request for a boy quilt. It took awhile for me to get the images just the way I wanted them, but I finally did. I really enjoy doing applique' because there are no boundries in what you can create. Until next time, still quilting and happy...

Sassafras, don't ya'll just love it!!!

This quilt has been in my head for almost a year, can ya believe it! I finally found the fabrics I wanted to use and here is the finished product. Not to mention the quilting by Brandie, my amazing quilter. She echoed all the flowers so they really stand out. It's just gorgeous in person. To see it go to the Provo Cotton Shop and you will, it's there until the 28th of June. I loved making this one so much that I had to make another. I searched through my stash, and found an older Kansas Trouble line and did up a twin size Sassafras. It was fun to see the difference the fabrics make. Let me know what ya'll think!

Every Day Skinnies

These are the last Skinnies for today. I would love to hear what ideas ya'll have for Skinnies!! I have a girl one in mind and a cabin one and a Halloween set, I told you I LOVE Halloween :) So give me your ideas and if I use them I will send you a free pattern. So think Skinnies!!!

The New Coastal Skinnies

For all you seafaring quilters here's the Skinnies for you. I told you I couldn't stop.

Seasonal Skinnies 5 is here

I can't stop making these, I keep getting more and more ideas. I noticed that shamrocks were hard to find, I made some for everyone. Since I love Halloween, I find ways to make more things for it. The star is so versatile that I could redo it in Christmas colors, or Patriotic fabrics. I just love skinnies!

Keep Watching more to come...

Oh my gosh!! I just finished another quilt last night. It is with fall colors and is gorgeous!!!! My newest creation will be posted soon. I will also have to show you some of the fabrics for my next project. I am going to be posting a bunch of my current quilts later today, so check back and see what you like. Very exciting news --The Cotton Shop in Provo, Utah has my trunk show right now until June 28th. They are just wonderful people at that store. Very friendly and helpful. So when in Provo, stop by and say Hi! Post ya'll later! Have a great day and thanks for all your comments.

Here's one of the lastest - Twist & Turn

I just delivered this one to Cotton Shop for part of the trunk show that they are displaying for the annual Shop Hop. I just love the hot pink square in the middle of the quilt. I have made this quilt in 3 color ways and have loved them all. Today I'm trying to work on a new fall quilt that uses a foundation technique. I can't wait to get it done to show ya'll. I have also been re-visiting a few drawings of quilts I want to do too, we'll see what happens. Still quilting and happy! till next time...

Seasonal Skinnies 4

Get ready for summer. I can already feel the heat. I believe this set was the one that came together the fastest as far as fabrics and colors. Adding rickrack and buttons are always fun for me to do. I'll have to try some other types of trim on future Skinnies

Seasonal Skinnies 3

Set 3 is here. I made a pieced table runner that was a carrot, and let me tell you, this carrot was a lot more fun and easier. I also added some rick-rack to the strips for a little added color.

Seasonal Skinnies 2

Here's another one of the Skinnies line. I started with one and I can't stop. These are so addicting! They are like a chocolate kisses, you can't just have one , you have to have a whole bunch. So I will keep going.......

Lost Marbles

Have you lost your marbles??? If you have, I found a whole bunch so I'll share. I considered about a bunch of different color ways for this, but the brights were the best choice I thought. Collecting the right fabrics took all over the place, I even found some of the fabrics in Flagstaff Arizona at a nice little quilt shop there.

Fright Night

Brandie quilted this for me and did an amazing job. Halloween is one of my favorite holiday. So doing this quilt was so much fun. I have to admit it took awhile to finalize my designs and layout, but I think the finished product was worth it.

Christmas Sox

Christmas Sox was inspired by Seasonal Skinnies 1, I used the stocking and made a whole quilt. This quilt is a great way to use jelly roll strips. You just find a bunch of jelly roll strips and start sewing. The Cotton Shop in Provo, is going to make this quilt using a brand new line. This quilt measures in at 60"x83".

Santa Claus Lane

You better watch out, this quilt was a fun one to do. I love to do applique'. I think picking out the fabrics is one of the best parts. I used some great cream backgrounds from one of Namcy Halverson old lines. I you could use the long blocks as indivdual Skinnies wall hangings. See what you can do and let me post them.

Ribbon Candy

Love, love, love this quilt!!! It was so fun to find all the fabrics, I used strips from my stash and got to go shopping all over the place to find the rest. I can't wait to make it again in a different color way.

Happily Ever After

Everything a little girl needs to be a princess! Fun to do and easy to make, add some sparkle to it with gems and rhinestones. Let her dream of her prince charming as this hang above her bed.

Seasonal Skinnies 1

My very first Skinnies patterns that I came up with and this started it all.

Good Morning! I am so excited about some of my new quilts. I am finishing up a new one today so I can post it. It's called Sassafras and I did it in two color ways. The midnight oil is really burning at my house. Watch the blog, I will be putting up all my quilts real soon. Have a good day.
