EQ7 --- WOW

I'm hooked!!!  EQ7 is wonderful.  I don't know how many of you have ever used it, but it's great!  I started using it just this last week and I have to tell you that it's addicting.

It has these HUGE libraies of about 5,000 quilt blocks to choose from or you can draw 

your own, which is what I've been doing :)

Then you have this Project Sketchbook that keeps track of the designs that you are 

working with.  Using EQ7  is so much easier then designing with pencil and eraser.  A few clicks and I

 rotate a block or change a color.....it's amazing, but I am easy to please.  

There are on-line classes to teach you a million different ways to do things.  

I take my first class at the end of this month.  Can't wait!  It's on applique :)

Quilters Dancing????

Did you know that quilters can dance?? We can and we did!  In Portland at Spring market, a bunch 

of us were asked to do the 

"Quilters Shuffle" with the Quiltmaker group.

What a hoot!

Cotton Shop Trunk Show

Thanks to Cotton Shop in Provo for having me come and play with them on Saturday.  

I always have fun going to sharing with fellow quilters.  

The top picture is of my very first quilt.  Yes, it's made from polyester with red yarn ties!!  

Can you believe it??!

I made it when I was 14.  Even though it's ugly, it's still my favorite to cuddle with.

The other pics are my goofy face while I talk about the newest quilts.  

I did a Steam-A-Seam demo while there as well.

Flower Pot Skinnie

Do you want to see something stinkin' cute???  Look at this!

Tiffany Searle won the magazine with this Skinnies pattern in it and look what she did.  I LOVE IT!!!

The colors are just perfect, but of course I love the brights.  Cute rounded edges and pieced border.

Great job and thanks for sharing!!

This makes me want to sew.  I've been designing a bunch of new stuff, but I think I will 

get out my machine and get busy.

Funny Kids

This summer has been educational already.  My kids have said
some funny things about life that I just had to share.

1.  Popsicle's taste best if you eat them outside.

2.  With Ninja skills you can do anything, even catching
a fly bear handed. 

(yes he washed vigorously afterwards)

3.  It's OK to skip your chores if you are helping and
serving someone else.

4.  Sleeping on the floor is better than sleeping in my own bed.

5.  It's OK not to grease the bottom of the brownie pan,
they still taste great in pieces.

Love having these guys home. I look forward to what other knowledge that they will share with me.
