Let the Baking Begin

One of my favorite parts of the Christmas season is the baking.  It smells sooo good, all those yummy treats baking away.
So today I will share one of our favorite recipes with you.
Pumpkin Bread
This will make three large loaves
In large mixing bowl add:
2 cups butter
3 cups sugar
1 - 29 oz can of solid packed pumpkin
6 eggs
3 tsp vanilla
Mix all together until well blended
Add:
3 tsp baking powder
3 tsp cinnamon
3 tsp baking soda
1 tsp allspice
1 tsp salt
1 tsp ground cloves
4 1/2 cups flour
Mix until smooth.  Note: you can add 1 cup of chocolate chips if you desire.  Pour into 3 greased loaf pans.  Bake at 350' for  40-50 mins.  Cool slightly then remove from pans.  Cool completely.  Store in gallon size Ziploc bags.  Freezes great.
Enjoy!!

  1. I have cinnamon swirl raisin bread in the oven raising right now. It just seems the season for baking. YUMMY. I'm thinking I have some bananas that are calling for banana bread next :)
