Spring Skinnies

Spring has sprung with the first in the new line of Seasonal Skinnies, Spring Skinnes. Like all the Skinnies, these wall quilts/table runners finish 14" x 28". Great for those small spaces in your home. Scroll through all the new Skinnies and the other new patterns that were just released and tell me which one is your favorite.

Summer Skinnies are on the way

Well, here's lookin' at summer. Three brand new Summer Skinnies are here for you ready to be made and displayed. The ladybugs feature the cutest trim by Micheal Miller. I have to get more of that trim.

Fall Skinnies

Here is the new Fall Skinnies. The Cat has rick-rack whiskers and button eyes. Did I mention I love rick-rack???

Winter Skinnies

The new year of Skinnes, ends with Winter Skinnes. Which is your favorite??? I can't seem to make enough of these guys.

Once there was a Snowman..called Winter Friends

Winter Friends has arrived. This quilt has been in my head, in the making for over a year. I was excited to release it at Spring Market. I know that lots of you collect snowman, so this quilt is a must for you to add to your collection. If you haven't tried fusible web yet, well this is the time to try. My favorite is "Steam-a-Seam". The quilt is 52" x 58". I did fusible and pieced blocks to add something for every quilter. I hope you enjoy this one.

Jubilee, love the sound of that

This has to be one of my favorite quilts. The size is 52" square, so I can use as a table topper or a wall hanging. The colors are more muted than I usually do, but I love it just the same. The flowers are fused and then blanket stitched on. The border is my favorite part and adds tons to the quilt. Sometimes I amaze myself.

Harmony is here

Here's the finished product... Do you love the fall colors? The quilt is 53" square and the fabric I used is Moda, Grande Finale by Sandy Gervais. It's made with a jelly roll and some yardage. The vine is large rick-rack. I love rick-rack!! And of course a pumpkin tops off the fall feeling. I also thought how pretty would this quilt be in batiks..... what do ya'll think.

Quilt Market

Here I am! Market was FABULOUS, AMAZING, WONDERFUL, OK you get the idea. We had a great time. I had Brandy Mascher, Michelle Hansen and Lisa Dunn helping. I couldn't of done it without them. They are awesome gals!! We kept very busy all three days and really enjoyed ourselves and seeing all the great talented people from all over the place.

Notice the snowman quilt, well that is one of my new releases, "Winter Friends". You can see part of the Winter Skinnies with the Penguin.

More pictures of my booth...... I didn't have time to take more of the show... next time, huh? The fall quilt here is a new one called "Harmony".

"All Dolled Up" quilts turned out so cute, it was fun to see them all done with everyones blocks and the fabulous quilting that was done. Here's the first.

Here's the other "All Dolled Up" quilt. They were displayed in the Riley Blake booth.

OK, my quilt Sassafras was made from a Red Rooster line called Nana's Garden. Here's what happened. Saturday we were talking to a few gals who were looking at the quilt and said, "Hey our sister designed that fabric." Well, I freaked out when I found out that she, Arlene Neely from Red Rooster, was going to come and see what I did with her fabric line. She loved it! So here we are posing, I'm the tall one :), Arlene is in the middle and one of her sisters was there with her. They are just the sweetest gals. It was so cool meeting a designer, I was like a little kid. So much fun!!!!!
All in all market was a great experience, I meet tons of wonderful people and got to talk about nothing but fabrics and quilting for 3 solid days. What could be better???

Almost there--

We're almost there, yikes! I packed things up last night getting ready for booth set up on Wednesday. I think I checked my list more than once, OK actually about 15 times. Hopefully I have remembered everything I need. Luckily I'm coming home each night, so if I forget something I can take it with me the next day. Thanks to my awesome graphic designer, (my husband) my fliers look pretty cool. I can't wait to post pictures of my booth and all the fun, great people and things I see. So wish me luck! If you happen to be in the area for quilt market, stop by my booth #2223 and say hello. I'll post when I get back. Have a great week.

Sweet treats?

Well, you may not want to eat these candies. OK, here's what I did. This magnet board is going to be in my booth at Quilt Market this week (yikes, that happened fast).

I had this idea of using "candy" magnets to hold patterns. I searched all over to find some that would match my colors and decor of my booth. I found nothing. Time is ticking closer and closer to Market time. So then I had this thought, "What I'm I thinking, I can make some". So I did and here they are!!!! I worked on them most of the day off and on. I just think they're too stinkin' cute. (That sounds kind of conceded, but aren't they??)

Here they are close up.

I used the flat glass pebbles and painted glitter glue on the back, (it's hard to see) and then Mod Podged the paper on. After that was dry I wrapped them in cellophane and secured the ends with colored wire. Oh my gosh, I love them. I can't wait to use them. For now I have the board in my sewing room ready to go. Have a fabulous weekend!

Happy Anniversary!

Ribbon Candy is officially one year old. I can't believe how fast time went. Thanks to all of you for making the first year so much fun. It's been a very full year with a lot of new ideas and learning to balance my life and run a company. Of course this close to market, I sure don't feel very balanced!!! I hope that this coming year will be just as fun and not to mention, I will be better at blogging. I would like to start more give-aways and contest for prizes for all my followers, so stick with me and let's see what the new year will bring. Thanks!!!
