ReplyDeleteStuffing is my favorite. Funny as a kid I would never eat it. Now that I really don't need those calories I love it! Oh well, good thing it's something I only have a couple of times a year :)

ReplyDeleteWhat a great scrapbusting block! I detest stuffing (wet bread!). Our favorite side dish is Mama Stamberg's Cranberry Relish. (Note to self: listen to NPR Morning Edition tomorrow to hear the 2015 recitation of the recipe!) . . . and thanks for the giveaway.

Hi Margie, love your block, I've been watching for that magazine, haven't found it on the shelves yet. My favorite food is stuffing for thanksgiving. But, the 25th is my birthday! This is Karlene, not Tanna.

My favorite Thanksgiving food is Ham Loaf. It's a mixture of ground ham and pork with some binding ingredients then and a sweet and sour sauce (no not Chinese). It's brown sugar, vinegar, dry mustard and water, and it cooks up to a delicious sauce. It's been a family delight for years. I believe the recipe came from a church cookbook. Those recipes are usually the best of the best. Thanks for the giveaways.

My cranberry sauce with a little turkey, no wait, the stuffing ... with gravy, mmm candied yams, gotta have some mashed potatoes too ... with gravy, Parker House rolls, green bean casserole, and what is for dessert? Give me an hour. I'll find room. I love the whole meal and sharing it with my family.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Thanksgiving food is Sweet Potato Casserole from Susan Branch's Thanksgiving cookbook. I know it will never replace your mom's recipe--what could?--but it is extremely good. When I became a vegetarian and stopped eating marshmallows, we had to find a new sweet potato recipe, and this one is so delicious I don't even miss our old standby. This is everyone's new favorite.
