Boy the weekend went so fast! Before I knew it, it's Monday night and I haven't posted pix from my journey to Logan. So here they are
Beautiful day for a trip to Logan, where we find "My Girlfriends Quilt Shoppe"
What a great building, right?? Well this shop is HUGE!! It just keeps going, and going. Tons of space for tons of fabrics and all sorts of goodies
Here's me (I'm the tall one) and Kris, she is the owner of this awesome establishment. She is just so cool. She has such a great love for quilting and it shows. She is extremely creative and has the best ideas. It was so much fun being there and visiting with all the gals who were there for the trunk show I did. Kris gave me a tour of the shop and boy, was it great! Everywhere you look you see fun patterns for just about anything, cute quilt ideas for every quilter
and of course bolts of wonderful fabrics!
This is just one section of the shop.
They sell sewing machines too
Here's another section of the shop, I think there were 3 or 4 areas, plus there are a couple
of really nice big class rooms too!
Now for a new addition to the shop.....Today they had a unveiling of a new area in the shop called
"My Girlfriends Attic".
It's really in the attic of the store. Here are a couple of pixs.
It's all decorated in antiques. The wedding dress is Kris's moms. Oh, the curtains (which is hard to see with the light coming in) are from Germany, WWII era. They are too beautiful. Everything in the room has been donated by employees and friends of the shop. It just amazing! And it's enormous!!! There are 5-6 extra big round tables to sew at, a mini kitchen and tons of natural light.
Plus two large cutting table areas. The "Attic" will be used for retreats and such.
I asked if I could move in. (grin)
I mean look at all of it, Kris and Kim (Kris's sister) have been able to put together a
great place to come and create.
You have to go there and see for yourself, and what a better time to go, then
"On The Trail" Shop Hop. April 27 - May 12.
All and all, Great place to shop and visit. So next time you cruise on through Logan UT, you had better stop in and say hello.
