2 weeks after

It's been two whole weeks since I've been back from Quilt Market and still haven't slowed down.  Printing, shipping, emailing, repeat.  That's what it's been like these 2 weeks.  My studio even got re-organized in the mist of everything else.  Playing catch up on To-Do lists and making all sorts of fun plans for summer.
Some of you have asked when the new patterns are going to be available on my Etsy Shop....who knows?!  I've been trying to post them and I keep getting an error message.  I have tech support working on it.  Hopefully it will be fixed very soon.
Cross your fingers!
At market I was able to find some fun new products that I can't wait to share with you.  In the upcoming weeks you'll see some fun stuff.
Keep posted.
Happy Summer
Stay cool!

Home from Spring Market

Yes, we made it to Portland, OR and back.  What a great trip and amazing market!!!  Here's the pictures to show you some of the fun we had
My booth ready to go.  It took most of the day to set up, I keep changing my mind on where things should go.

Brandy and I Friday morning just before the show started, we are excited and ready to meet all the great people that attend.
Sharon Frank, my editor at Annie's Publishing.  This was at my book signing (yes, I had a book signing, how cool was that!!!)  Peterson-Arne Distributor hosted the signing for us.  Sharon is great to work with, so the signing
went very smoothly and easy.
Emily Herrick is one "Crazy Old Lady".    Our booths were only an aisle away so we got to visit often.  Her booth won 2nd place.  She did an amazing job!!
In the Quiltmaker magazine booth, they had my quilt block from
"Quiltmaker 100 blocks Vol 7 there in a frame.  Fun to see that!
Our neighbors at Kansas City Star.  Market is sew much fun when you have great people as your neighbors!  We were able to get an autographed copy of Sharon's book, totally amazing quilts in there....add one more quilt to my To-Do list.
Of course two of my favorite designers... Me and My Sister.  They are simply a HOOT!!!!   Barb and Mary are some of the most friendly gals you will ever meet. And they make stinkin cute fabric to boot.
Aurifil Thread, you can't get better than that.  This is the BEST thread ever!!!
Alex, on the right got me hooked on it and I will never sew with anything else.
The wonderful gals of Quiltmaker.  Left to right
Eileen Fowler, Carolyn Beam, me, June Dudley and Diane Harris
Wait until you see the video that is coming....
All in all a wonderful market.  Already planning next years stuff.

Welcome blog hoppers!

Welcome to Quiltmaker 100 Blocks Vol 7
Don't you just love these!!  They have the best blocks with tons of variety.  I love to go through them and plan all kinds of cute quilts, table runners and mug rugs.
The great thing about this issue, is I'm in it!!!
It's just so cool to be included with all these talented quilters.
I would like to share with you the block that I did for this issue.
It's called "Sweet Peas"
Yep, it's on front cover (grin) just above the "C".  With Spring in full swing, this block would be perfect for table runners for that garden party you are planning or super cute for the baby that's their way.  Change the color of flower for each block.  You can also make the corner colors all different.  Play with it and have fun.
It's time to give away a free issue!
Play with us and you could win.
Leave a comment and tell me what your favorite flower is.
A winner will randomly be chosen on this Saturday, May 4
I love most all flowers, but a couple of my favorites are
tulips, pansies and sweet peas.
Happy Spring!

It's Here, finally here!!!

Introducing, hot off the press....drum roll please...this is so exciting..
Adorable Animal Applique
Can you believe it, it's finally here!  I have to pinch myself to be sure I'm not dreaming and my very first book is published!!
Thanks to the great people at Annie's Publishing!!!
As you can see, from the front cover, these are some of the jungle theme projects...
But wait til you see the monsters and sea creatures.
There's a bed scarf (which I'm lovin' these), a jelly fish pillow and the angle fish rug in the set.  I jumped out of my box and designed a couple of rugs.  It was fun to use the "Shannon Cuddle" fabrics on the rugs, they are sooooo soft and yummy!  And I might add, very easy to work with, you should try it (grin)
The monster set has this wall hanging, a huggy pillow, a friendly monster pillowcase, and a soft monster rug (also made from "Cuddle")
These are just a couple of the projects in the book.  I will be posting more pictures of the other projects soon.  Let me know what you think.
I have to give a HUGE THANK YOU to the following people and companies that helped make this book a fun and exciting adventure:
Brandy Mascher
for her AMAZING quilting on all the projects!! Not to mention her unfaltering patience with me (smile)
Sharon Frank
of Annie's Publishing, super lady to work with!
Riley Blake Fabrics
for the perfect "Zoofari" and "Shades"  fabrics
Timeless Treasures,
for the beautiful Batiks that were used on the sea creature set
Shannon Fabric,
for the super soft, yummy Cuddle fabrics, love this!!
The Warm Company,
for the batting and "Steam-A-Seam" without them I couldn't applique!
Aurifil Thread
for all the gorgeous thread I used to sew and applique with.

Can't wait to start on the next one......maybe I'll wait just a bit,
like after Spring market?!

Got it BAD!

Boy, oh boy, do I have it bad!!!  Spring Fever has taken a hold of me and won't let go.  I'm trying to be good and work, but then I look out my window and see all the beautiful green grass (yes, the snow has finally melted) the tulips peeking out, and the leaf blossoms on the trees.  Who wouldn't want to be outside on days like these.  I mean, it's 68' today with clear blue skies and sunshine.  Heavy sigh!  OK, plus it's Spring Break for my kiddos, so it's even more tempting to play.
There's still so much to do to get ready for Market, so I really need to buckle down and work.  The last few days I've been working on the newest BOM - "Winter Nights" that will be ready for market in May.  It's kind of hard to work on a winter/snow themed quilt when it's warm and gorgeous outside......  Maybe I'll just go play a little?!  wish me luck!  Until next time, enjoy your Spring!  Happy sewing.
