Beach Time

Sunshine....sand....relax....enjoy....waves pounding....warmth. 

That's what I think about when I think about the beach.  I grew up in California about 3 hours from the beach.  Yes, we made a lot of trips to Santa Cruz and Morro Bay over the years, oh the memories!!  So when Quiltmaker asked me to design a Skinnie for summer, I thought beach.  Here's the latest Skinnie in Quiltmaker magazine.

Where I would love to go would be a any beach with clear water and white sand....hmmmm  I think I'm ready for some major sun.

New release date!

Guess what?!?  I just found out the my book is going to be released 3 weeks earlier then we expected!!  That's right... earlier! 

The new date is

April 12, 2013

Watch for it.  Can't wait to show you all the projects and the fun fabrics I got to use.

Of course, there will be a give away as well.

Now back to work on all the new releases.

National Quilting Day

Sorry my post is a little late this morning.  Got carried away in the weekend rush.

Did you know that today is National Quilting Day?  Isn't that awesome!!  I think this is one of the better holidays, don't you?  So now we all get to sit down and do some serious quilting in support of this holiday.  So many projects and sew little time.  Let's see what I can come up with to do.  

This will be one project.  There is a scout in my neighborhood that is working on his Eagle project.  We are helping sew these quilt square together to make small lap size quilts.  I have 3 sets to do.  All the fabrics are to help with sensory awareness.  After all the quilts are done, he is then going to donate them to the Autism foundation.
