Weekend Sewing

Yes, I actually got to do some fun sewing.  I'm working on a bunch of Christmas table runner/toppers and here's the second one.
I need to add an applique to the center section.  I just can't decided what to do.  Any suggestions???
Something in the corners maybe, nothing to big.  The center is 17" square and the topper is 32" square.  Give me your ideas.  Now back to work.  Have a fabulous day! and Happy Sewing

"The box is in the mail"

YES!!!  This book contains the projects and instructions for my very first book.  After 3 months of designing, sewing and writing, it's done and off to the publishers.

This is why over the last few months my blog has been neglected some what.  But now I'm back in the groove again.
It'll be so fun to share the book with all of you when it's released in May 2013.  I know it's a long ways away, but I think you will enjoy what I've done.

Hey don't forget the Skinnies give away that's going on right now.  Leave a comment on Oct 5 post on what Skinnies you would like to see for the months of Aug, Sept, Nov.
You could win a bundle of the Skinnies patterns.
Good luck and have a great day!

Skinnies Contest

Hey there to all and happy Friday! I need your help. I'm working on getting another year of Seasonal Skinnies patterns to be released in May 2013.  What images would you like to see done? I do one Skinnie for each month. Some of them are harder then others to come up with an idea
and image that would work well.
Here's the challenge. I want ideas for the months of
August
September
November
The image must be related to that month or something that would work. I have some ideas, but I want to know what you would want in a Skinnie. Check out my existing Skinnies
patterns to see what's already there. The ideas can be one long skinnis image or
have 3-5 images per Skinnie, OK?
Rules of the challenge
1. leave one comment with all your ideas.
2. be creative and fun
3. check back on Friday Oct 12 to see if you have won the prize
The prize for the winner is one  set of my Seasonal Skinnies patterns.
There are two choices

Year 2
Year 3
Put on your quilting caps and think up some great ideas!!
Thanks for your help and have a fabulous weekend!

Whistle while you work

Do  you ever find yourself doing that?  I don't whistle very well, but I will get a song in my head and hum it all day long.  Sometimes it's a really lame song and it drives me crazy.  I'm sure I'm not the only one this happens to.   Anyway, I just saw some of my Skinnies that were done by Karlenes Kreations , stop by her blog and check them out.  She did a great job, as always.
