Isn't it Lovely...
Wow! This is the Kaleidoscope pattern done in the fabric line "Lovely" by Moda. Karlene Riggs pieced it and Brandy Mascher quilted it. Great job ladies, it's just beautiful. How fun it is to see how the quilts look so different when using different fabrics and color ways. I love it. Thanks for sharing with us!!

Shopping for fabric
I've been shopping and having a ball finding all sorts of fun fabrics to use in my new year of Skinnies. I had my youngest son with me and we went all over. He is such a trooper. We even had a picnic in the park in between shops. Oh what fun it is to go shopping to all different quilt shops. I found some great pieces and can't wait to get started on them. So, with that I better get busy. I hope your week goes well. Just remember life is good, smile at someone today.

All Dolled Up In Salt Lake City
What is this you ask?? Well, it's "THE" event at the International Quilt Market in SLC this year. This is where more then 30 of the Utah designers get to have some fun.
All Dolled Up in SLC is going to be a great way for store owners to meet us Utah designers and enter to win way cool prizes.
This event is a Booth Hop. You go to each participating booth and get a stamp from the designer. Then after you get your stamp card full, you drop it in the box, you are entered to win some fabulous prizes, such as: patterns, quilts, fabrics etc.
The other fun part of this whole event is of course a Quilt. Not just any quilt, it is a quilt designed by over 30 fabulous designers. Each designer was asked to make a paper doll block that represented her in a way. All those blocks are going to be put together into 2 awesome quilts. The fabrics for the quilt blocks was donated by Riley Blake Designs.
Here's my block. Does it look like me, well maybe in a few years. (hahaha). My block represents my dream come true. So here is my "Fairy Godmother". My wish, going to market as a pattern designer. Pretty cool huh?
(just as a note, please ignore the fabric creases. I had my block all folded and ready to mail and then realized that I forgot to take a photo. So, I took it out, snapped a shot and mailed it off. I didn't even think about ironing it. )

Thank you Thimbleweeds!
Thimbleweeds Quilt guild had invited me to be their guest yesterday and show all my quilts to them. It was great and very nice to meet the gals that are in the group. They were awesome with all the "Ohhhs and Ahhhs". I love to go to the different guilds to see all the wonderful quilts they make and the fun stuff they do. They are doing a "Pumpkin Patch" quilt that is going to be just too cute. Thanks Thimbleweeds for the fun morning!!! Thanks to Karlene Riggs for inviting me.
